Legal
This policy lists what you may not do with Baseline Web Hosting. It exists to keep our network stable and lawful for everyone on it. Breaking it lets us suspend or terminate an account — in serious cases, immediately and without notice.
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is part of your Terms of Service with LEAD Web Studio Inc., which operates Baseline Web Hosting. It applies to everything you host or do through our service.
You are responsible for your account, your content, and anyone you allow to use it. If your visitors, customers or scripts cause a breach of this AUP, that is treated as your breach.
You may not use the service to host, link to, transmit or facilitate any of the following:
You may not:
Shared hosting is for normal small-business websites. You may not use an account in a way that destabilises a shared server or unfairly degrades service for others — for example, sustained high CPU use, runaway scripts, storing large archives unrelated to a website, or using the account primarily as a file, backup or streaming server. If usage becomes a problem we will contact you; where a server’s stability is at immediate risk we may act first and explain after.
You may not send unsolicited bulk or commercial messages (“spam”) from, or referencing, your account or our network, whether the messages are sent through us or elsewhere. Any commercial email you send must comply with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), including valid consent, sender identification, and a working unsubscribe. Being listed on a reputable blocklist because of your activity is itself a breach of this AUP.
Keeping your site within this AUP is your job. That includes keeping your software patched so it is not used to send spam or serve malware, and removing prohibited content promptly when you become aware of it.
We may remove content, throttle, suspend, or terminate a service that breaches this AUP. Where the breach is serious — a live security threat, illegal content, or a risk to our network or other customers — we may act immediately and without prior notice. Fees already paid are not refunded on termination for a breach.
Where circumstances allow, we will tell you what the problem is and give you a chance to fix it. We are not obliged to monitor content, but we may act on anything we become aware of.
If you believe an account on our network breaches this policy — spam, malware, phishing, or illegal content — tell us at billing@webhostingbaseline.com with the URL and a short description, and we will investigate.
